We conduct and promote clinical studies

Much information is needed to adequately assess the safety of a given vaccine. This leads to multiple studies conducted by multiple investigators based on multiple study designs, yielding multiple results. The results of well performed research tend to point in the same direction. However, trial sizes are limited and meta-analyses of the individual studies are challanging, if not impossible due to the diversity of methods employed and often the lack of a coordinated approach.

At the Brighton Collaboration we conduct and promote collaborative studies, both investigating the safety of specific vaccines as well as evaluating the standards we have created.

Study Groups

Study groups are typically comprised of multidisciplinary teams comming from study centers in different countries. Most studies are conducted in the frame of research grants, thus the structure varies slightly between projects.

Results

The results of our vaccine safety and evaluation studies are published in peer reviewed journals. We aim for the widest possible distribution of Brighton publications. They are made available pending copy right regulations of the publisher.
